Continued Geek News
Today is the release of the MMO, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. What does that mean? Well....It means for the entire weekend we will be glued to our computers. Questing and trying to level our characters quickly so that we can form our guild. So far we have friends who are coming from both Everquest 2 and Star Wars Galaxies to join us in our newest online adventures. We've even set up a voice chat program so that we can all communicate to each other. Gosh technology rocks. Did I just say gosh?!? Jerry took half a day off so that we could both get on right at the beginning of launch. Maybe we have silly priorities..but we are doing it together so there is that. A family that games together, stays together
Joss himself said he didn't even know about that website, but that doesn't mean it won't still happen.
ReplyDeleteHeck, the Brits brought back Doctor Who after nearly 16 years hiatus, it was never really canceled. Funny thing is, the head of the BBC, is the same guy that put it on hiatus 16 years ago because he didn't like it. Now he has nothing but nice things to say about how great it is, I think the UK govt. told him if he wanted to stay the head of the BBC, he should leave it alone. :) I think like March 15th they are airing the 9th Doctor on Sci Fi, in the slot for Atlantis. It's only 13 episodes, but that's like a typical Sci Fi season anyway. They'll be airing the 10th Doctor on BBC in a few months, and they're working on a spin-off called Torchwood, (notice, same letters, an anagram).
Apparently it is now cool to be a geek in England. People who used to hate the show like it now. :)
What other show has been around with the same main character (with different faces LOL) for 42 years (minus 16, but the books and audio dramas kept going), and has been, educational, sci-fi, and some horror rolled in. Well, that's Doctor Who. The only one as far as I can tell. :)
Firefly should be allowed to last that long.
