Pink Flamingo on Toast

That was Jerry and I today at the grocery store. We had to run in for soda and cat food. It was packed...slam packed. I felt lucky that we got a parking spot at all. People were driving crazy around that parking lot. I'm suprised we didn't see an accident. Be safe this weekend when you are out and about. People are stressed out and not thinking about how they should drive. In other news, Jerry and I watched The Simpsons Movie this past week. Very cute..and we can't stop singing the Spider-Pig song!

> It's been crazy here this weekend. Why you ask? Because every time I see the Flash Gordon promo on the SciFi channel for their upcoming show I break into a chorus of Queen's Flash Gordon Theme song. Not only did we watch the new " Savior of the Universe " version of the movie tonight but we have been watching the old Serials as well. It's been a fun week going around belting out the theme song randomly. Hoping this Friday nights premier of the new series will be as fun.

Seems like we are getting lots of rain lately. I really can't remember if it's normal or not. I guess that comes with age. Jerry and I went to see the new Harry Potter movie. No spoilers here. It was very good and we both really enjoyed it. Not much else going on. I'm winding down from Exam week. Not that it was grueling but it wasn't a walk in the park either. I'm just happy for the break. Nothing else to report....I'm kinda dull this weekend but that's fine by me.

As Jerry had mentioned, Veronica Mars has been cancelled. While I keep hoping another network will pick it up, I highly doubt that will happen. Pretty much all of "my" regular shows have finished their seasons. I know Jerry and I have wondered lately why networks only have a Fall season. Why not do it based on the seasons of the year. I just know I shouldn't be stuck watching 5 nights of CSI, Law and Order or Deal or No Deal. (I don't actually watch any of those). The Networks suck..yes..there..I said it. They have cancelled wonderfully intelligent shows like Veronica Mar, Andy Barker P.I., Studio 60 (although for some reason there is a new episode next Thursday) and The Class (although they really couldn't go on with that much more, but it was clever). I wonder who their test market is. Do people really want 7 days or reality shows and game shows? Ok, enough of the small screen... We went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End today. I loved it. I ...

We need the rain! So the dark clouds were a welcome site today. Jerry and I went to see Spider-Man 3 today. Pretty good stuff. I won't give away anything but I do have to say that "Emo Peter Parker" was funny. Looks like half the kids at college. The other half try to look like thugs... Saw some great previews. Should be a fun summer of movies. Here are some of my thoughts on the upcoming movie season. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - Arrr, hey thar, How can you not lo'e Captain Jack Sparrow? Gar. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - It's classic comic book fun! Rush Hour 3 - I secretly think these movies are fun. Don't know if it's worth the $ to see it in the theater. We'll see. Underdog - One Nation Under Dog....eh..might be fun Across the Universe - At first I thought it was a Baz Luhrmann film..but its not..but it still looks like a "yes" to me.
