Saturday Stroll
Jerry and I went to The Brick today for lunch. I had been wanting to try it and it was worth the wait. The place is always packed, or I should say that the outside tables are always taken. Inside it wasn't nearly as crowded when we arrived. The food was good and different. I had a chicken salad but the dressing was amazing. It had a nutty taste to it. Jerry had a Cuban Panini. I was jealous cause I wanted the cuban but I'm really working on the the WW Anyway, it was a lovely place. One thing we really liked is that it had a very intimate feeling. Tall booth backs and the tables were far enough apart that people wouldn't feel like they were on top of each other. After lunch we strolled around Avondale's shops. One of my favorite shops, Basket Case to the Rescue is located there. They have all kinds of wonderful little gifty things. After spending time in there we went down to Cowford Traders. I have to remember all these wonderful shops when I start my Christmas shopping. Another great little shop is Gottahaveit. I found lots of cute flamingo things there. Actually at all of the shops we went into. Oh yea..let me back up... in the Cowford Trader shop they have wonderful toys. I think Jerry and I played with almost everything.
Was a very pleasant afternoon on such a beautiful day!
Sounds like a wonderful day! I would love to check out that gottahaveit store. :)
ReplyDeleteYou would have loved all the little shops. Kinda reminds me of the shops up in Petoskey. Remember?
