What is the sign for...

Just got home from Deaf Club. Had a blast and met TONS of great people. The more I am around the Deaf, the better I'll get at my sign. I wasn't nearly as scared of talking to people as I had been in the past. If I made a mistake..they corrected me. If I didn't know a sign, they spelled it out for me. I'm loving this.

Jerry and I did some Christmas Shopping this morning. We also got a tree. We haven't had a big tree in five years. It's nice..still no ornaments on it..but we can do that this week.

Why am I up at 2am?

When I should be asleep because I have to work at 7am? I don't know if any of you remember the accident back in December . This time I heard it. We were laying in bed sleeping when I heard the car hit the telephone pole right outside our bedroom window. It seemed like the crashing noises went on for 5 minutes but I know that isn't true. I hopped up and grabbed the phone and dialed 911 and as I did walked to our porch to see a silver SUV about 2 houses down crosswise in the road. I also noticed the telephone pole on the grass and splinters everywhere. Apparently from the neighbors gossip the guy left his vehicle afterwards and started running down the street. When the police arrived they checked out the car and then they went speeding off to find him. I didn't see it but others said there was lots of blood on the dashboard of the car. It looks like it rolled a few times. I should mention that we live on a one way street. The posted speed limit is 30 mph but in b...

Neat!

Tonight a few of my classmates and I went down to St. Augustine to see the FSDB (Florida School for the Deaf and Blind) Dance Troupe . What a fun evening. The music they picked, their choreography and most of all their smiles were wonderful. Two of my favorites were Thriller (Michael Jackson) and eBay (Weird Al). They had thriller down. It was perfect. And eBay..well...if you haven't heard the Weird Al parody than you are just missing out all together If you ever get a chance to see one of these performances in your area, I highly recommend you attend. Why was I worried again?

So yea...I got my test score and the grade back for my first Signed test. I got 131/135 on my test and 64/65 on my video. Needless to say. I'm very proud of myself. Oh yea..and the little girl who called "Miss Know-it-all" didn't do as well on her test and still hasn't turned in her Signed Videotape. I know I shouldn't be mean about her grades but I have to say she bruised my psyche. Went to WW today. Up a pound but that's okay. I knew I might be. And..It's still better then not going to WW at all. I did get a Peppermint Mocha Light Frappuccino today. Not too terribly bad. I have really cut back on my Starbucks intake. I need to drink more water. I also need to get back to Curves!! I've been so bad about that. At least I'm aware of my faults.
