Pink Flamingo on Toast

Where did this year go? I can't believe it's the 2nd of July already. I guess school and work have been keeping me busy. I imagine for all you parents out there it seems like it goes by even faster. I'm envious of that part of parenthood. Must be neat to see a little life growing and learning. Ok..enough of my mush... In other news Scooter Libby gets the out of going to jail. What the heck! I'm tried of the "boys in the hood"( by hood I mean the government current administration) getting off. I guess Bush doesn't really care what his approval rating is because this will not help it in my eyes. Sure it's not a pardon but still why is it that people who have a little bit of fame, money or power don't have to be in jail. Yes, Hilton did spend her 23 days in jail. Funny though, I thought the judge had ruled that she had to serve out 45 days after her little day trip home. GAH! I can bet there are people in jail right now for lesser crimes who have to ...

I'm really tired of celebrities and politicians getting preferential treatment. If I violated my parole and cried in my cell, I surely wouldn't be let go after three frakkin' days. Sure she has to wear an ankle braclet...big whoop! How much you wanna bet that she tries to get out of that. In the first place, you have so much frakkin' money why don't you have a driver when you go....why risk going to jail? I am just in awe at how spoiled she is. Any bets on her violating her house arrest? Scooter...gah...you should serve more then 30 months just for allowing people to call you that in public. heh...no seriously..You are basically takin' one for the team. I'm sure your gang will keep you and yours well just for doing this. I'm actually surprised that more of your posse aren't joining you.

Are you kidding me? If I lose anything at work it's immediately taken out of my paycheck and replaced. I can't imagine losing something like this. OMG What idiots! Do you think that whoever "lost" the laptops and weapons has their paycheck garnished to recover the loss? not likely. And how do you put a price on information?

Never has a show moved me to find out more about how the government works. Each season I wonder if the things that happen on the show could actually happen. Last year on 24 was the season of "This president is psycho" and this year seems so far to be a theme of "let's just disregard the constitution in the name of security". Sounds familiar doesn't it. Recently I read that the CIA was looking into bank records . I shrugged it off and thought "so what". I was talking to Jerry and he told me "Look..the CIA can not act domestically". So after reading more I'm finding out that what they are doing is illegal....but it's for "the security of the nation". Hmm ...funny how art imitates life. Scary enough that more Americans should be upset with what is going on. I voted for change, change is trying to happen and being tossed aside with this air of "Imperial attitude" . Democracy..that's what we signed up...
