Status quo

"You are right where you need to be." is what my professor said after watching one of my video taped interpreting sessions. Yay me! Sure there were things I can work on but I was happy to hear that for the most part my concepts and message were true to the speakers intent. If nothing else that is my biggest fear is that I won't match the intent of the speaker so this was nice to hear. I'll keep working on that so it's not something I lose. The semester is going good. I feel like I'm getting a lot out of most of my classes. I say most because I have an online class on Educational Interpreting and it's just not one of my favorites. Sure there are parts of it that are interesting but for the most part its a lot of busy work that I hate. If you want to see if I read the chapter test me on it, don't make me show you all the authors that were cited. Busy work..GAH! I'm finding that the more I improve the more things I have to work on. Crazy hunh?! but with each success a better way to "say" something comes up. Ah well..that's the fun part of this! Ok..I'm rambling a little because of my cold. I ramble naturally anyway...ask anyone...

I am a HUGE fan of the new Battlestar Galatica (BSG). Sad to hear that they are coming to an end next year. Does it mean they get to Earth? Are the Cylons defeated? Hi-Tech Bed

So our Select Comfort Bed arrived today. So far so good. Although I think we are losing air (it's not staying at 100 after I fill). Not sure though. Tonight will be the real test. I think my sleep number is 35. When trying it out both in the store and at home that is where I'm not feeling any pressure on my hips or shoulders. Jerry thinks his number is around there too. I'm really hoping this will help with Jerry's back, shoulder, neck pains. He is so much better but he occasionally gets flare ups. No fun Oh yea...and the controller is Wireless. We can be gadget whores in our sleep too!
