Sleepy Saturday

I was up and out of the house around 8:15 this morning to attend a workshop for the Quality Assurance tests here in Florida. It was an informational meeting about what to expect on the written test, what books to study and what to expect on the performance test. Now, at first I wasn't going to go this workshop. Why should I give up a Saturday for something that is over a year away? Yeah, that is where I was wrong. When talking to my professor at school, he informed me that usually his classes take the test at the end of the fall semester. Granted it is still 2 full semesters away it is coming up quicker then I had expected. So I'm really glad I went. Even though it was five and half hours in a classroom.

Knowing I had to get up this morning and sit for a good length of time in a classroom, I went to bed at a decent hour. Well, then Jerry and I ended up watching "The 40 Year Old Virgin" for the umpteenth time and laughing through all of it. Then I was so wound up that I couldn't sleep. Finally at 3:30am the insomnia had retreated and I was allowed to get some rest. Let me tell you that the alarm at 7:00am was not a welcomed sound.

This upcoming week is finals. I have an Expressive test on Tuesday and a Receptive test on Thursday. Yay! The semester will be over! Although my celebrating will only be short lived as the summer term starts on May 8th.

So...how was your Saturday?

  1. My Saturday was great! I was cancelled from work for the last six hours of my shift, so Mark and I went out to a new Mexican restaurant here in town. Yummm...

I hear ya, sistah. My next semester starts on May 9th. :)
