First Class of the new semester

4pm until 6:25pm every Tuesday and Thursday for the next 12 weeks. Plus I need 10 contacts (Deaf Events) completed as well. Oh yea...did I mention the additional 12 hours of video logged time studying ASL tapes. Aren't summer terms supposed to be fun and light?

    Yeah, the students in my summer Music Appreesh class always want it to be "fun and light" as well. They seem to forget that it's the SAME CLASS that's taught during a normal 16-week semester, condensed into 3 weeks. I usually have a few drop after the first day.

Today is the release of the MMO, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. What does that mean? Well....It means for the entire weekend we will be glued to our computers. Questing and trying to level our characters quickly so that we can form our guild. So far we have friends who are coming from both Everquest 2 and Star Wars Galaxies to join us in our newest online adventures. We've even set up a voice chat program so that we can all communicate to each other. Gosh technology rocks. Did I just say gosh?!? Jerry took half a day off so that we could both get on right at the beginning of launch. Maybe we have silly priorities..but we are doing it together so there is that. All Hail the King!

Our neighbors, or the people who are ransacking the house next door, put this on the curb earlier in the day. Driving at this point wasn't too bad as it only went up to the bumper on the Aztek. I'm glad I didn't get out of class any later. An hour after I got home the "Throne" was toppled and the water was over the sidewalk and creeping up our little retaining wall. It's not raining and I'm actually not sure what the forecast is. Strange for anyone that knows me because I have secretly always wanted to be a meterologist and drool at the "Severe Weather" warnings. (although Hurricane Floyd a couple years ago did kinda freak me out). Ok..RAMBLING......

Why am I up at 2am?

When I should be asleep because I have to work at 7am? I don't know if any of you remember the accident back in December . This time I heard it. We were laying in bed sleeping when I heard the car hit the telephone pole right outside our bedroom window. It seemed like the crashing noises went on for 5 minutes but I know that isn't true. I hopped up and grabbed the phone and dialed 911 and as I did walked to our porch to see a silver SUV about 2 houses down crosswise in the road. I also noticed the telephone pole on the grass and splinters everywhere. Apparently from the neighbors gossip the guy left his vehicle afterwards and started running down the street. When the police arrived they checked out the car and then they went speeding off to find him. I didn't see it but others said there was lots of blood on the dashboard of the car. It looks like it rolled a few times. I should mention that we live on a one way street. The posted speed limit is 30 mph but in b...
