The Sunday phonecall

A few years ago it was established that Mom and Dad would call here on Sunday morning at around 11am. They call from their cell phone and use the speaker phone so they can both hear and talk. The past few weeks it's just been me and mom talking on the phone, as Dad was in the hospital. Today, Dad's voice was the first I heard. It was great!! I am always surprised at how the little things are the things that move me the most. His appetite is back and although he gets winded right now he is out and about.

The night Dad got home from the hospital my mom fell and bruised her tail bone and twisted her knee. If it's not one thing it's another. She said that she was doing better too. Ugh...I need to bubble wrap my parents!

While, planning for a phone call every Sunday can sometimes put a crimp on planning the day, today I anxiously waited for the phone to ring. Did I mention it was great?

    Hi! I often feel the same about bubble wrapping my parents! We have joked for years about starting our own club called the 'CCC Club', Caution,Clutz Coming! Well, I made t-shirts and sweatshirts this year for Christmas with the CCC Club logo that I designed!! And everyone in my family got one!!! :)
    I only found your post 'cause I just posted my own website and googled my name, creationsbygknee.com and I saw someone else was using the same 'G-Knee' name that I use! How cool is that!!! Why do you spell your name that way? Mine started back in college, after playing b-ball a lot, my knee started going out and since my name is Jeannie, my friends changed it to G-Knee!

Hi-Tech Bed

So our Select Comfort Bed arrived today. So far so good. Although I think we are losing air (it's not staying at 100 after I fill). Not sure though. Tonight will be the real test. I think my sleep number is 35. When trying it out both in the store and at home that is where I'm not feeling any pressure on my hips or shoulders. Jerry thinks his number is around there too. I'm really hoping this will help with Jerry's back, shoulder, neck pains. He is so much better but he occasionally gets flare ups. No fun Oh yea...and the controller is Wireless. We can be gadget whores in our sleep too!
