Hi-Tech Bed
So our Select Comfort Bed arrived today. So far so good. Although I think we are losing air (it's not staying at 100 after I fill). Not sure though. Tonight will be the real test. I think my sleep number is 35. When trying it out both in the store and at home that is where I'm not feeling any pressure on my hips or shoulders. Jerry thinks his number is around there too.
I'm really hoping this will help with Jerry's back, shoulder, neck pains. He is so much better but he occasionally gets flare ups. No fun
Oh yea...and the controller is Wireless. We can be gadget whores in our sleep too!

I think if one is going to be a whore, the gadget route is the best choice! I considered a Select Comfort bed when I was in the market (The Bionic Woman, I mean Lindsay Wagner can be so compelling), but ended up getting Westin Resort's "Heavenly Bed" after a stay at one of their hotels in Vancouver, BC. They made it so convenient. A little card on the nightstand asking the reader, "Did you sleep well? You can have this same experience in your home" ... along with a phone number to call. Operators truly were standing by!
ReplyDeleteEnough rambling. I hope you and @docsavage enjoy your new bed!
Yeah..the Bionic Woman was a selling factor. (I still have my Lindsay Wagner as the Bionic Woman "barbie doll") "Heavenly Bed" hmm..I had never heard about that. Time to google! Although so far I'm loving our Select Comfort. I'm narrowing in on my sleep number. I think it's 45.

ReplyDeleteHi Jeanne!
ReplyDeleteI work for Select Comfort in customer service and sometimes we search the blogosphere to see what people are saying about our beds and offer help if needed.
Most often when new bedowners report a decrease in the number it's a result of taking readings when not laying on the bed. Since the Sleep Number is a measurement of air pressure inside the mattress, it will show a lower number if your body weight is missing from the equation. If you take all your readings while laying on the bed in your sleep position, the numbers should normalize.

At our website we've recently added a blog called "the Slumber Party" where we employees can share our stories. It's at www.beds.com/blog. Also at beds.com you can post a review, read collected articles about sleep-related topics, watch videos, and there's even a feature called "share the love" where you can tell your friends and family about the bed.
Thanks for choosing the Sleep Number bed!
