Joiner

Another step in my journey to being an Interpreter. I just joined both the statewide and national Registry of Interpreters. Basically now I have to adhere to all the Code of Professional Conduct and stuff.

Why am I up at 2am?

When I should be asleep because I have to work at 7am? I don't know if any of you remember the accident back in December . This time I heard it. We were laying in bed sleeping when I heard the car hit the telephone pole right outside our bedroom window. It seemed like the crashing noises went on for 5 minutes but I know that isn't true. I hopped up and grabbed the phone and dialed 911 and as I did walked to our porch to see a silver SUV about 2 houses down crosswise in the road. I also noticed the telephone pole on the grass and splinters everywhere. Apparently from the neighbors gossip the guy left his vehicle afterwards and started running down the street. When the police arrived they checked out the car and then they went speeding off to find him. I didn't see it but others said there was lots of blood on the dashboard of the car. Random bits

Work was pretty good today. Not to busy. Was able to read about 60 pages of my book Liars and Thieves by Stephen Coonts . I'm really having fun being a reader. (tee hee hee) I always enjoyed it just never took the time to read. Now I look forward to my reading time. Class tonight. I'm a little nervous because I was doing my homework and felt completely lost. The video we had to watch seemed too advanced for me. I'm hoping I'm not the only one. I hope we go over it in class. I wonder if there are ASL tutors. Da Vinci Code - I'm really looking forward to this movie. The book was great. I am tired of all the hoopla though. It's fiction. I guess I'm at a point in my life that even if it is true that Jesus was married, it doesn't change my beliefs. Enough random thoughts...if I think of anything else..I'll add it...

Why was I worried again?

So yea...I got my test score and the grade back for my first Signed test. I got 131/135 on my test and 64/65 on my video. Needless to say. I'm very proud of myself. Oh yea..and the little girl who called "Miss Know-it-all" didn't do as well on her test and still hasn't turned in her Signed Videotape. I know I shouldn't be mean about her grades but I have to say she bruised my psyche. Went to WW today. Up a pound but that's okay. I knew I might be. And..It's still better then not going to WW at all. I did get a Peppermint Mocha Light Frappuccino today. Not too terribly bad. I have really cut back on my Starbucks intake. I need to drink more water. I also need to get back to Curves!! I've been so bad about that. At least I'm aware of my faults.
